Diabetic eye screening

Public Health Wales has produced a new NHS video called Diabetic eye screening: what to expect.

The video helps people understand what diabetic eye screening is, why it is important and what happens during the screening process.

The video shows:

  • The diabetic eye screening journey, from invitation to results
  • How diabetic eye screening photographs are taken
  • What support is available

The video may be especially helpful for people who are being invited for diabetic eye screening for the first time, or for people who have not previously taken up their screening offer.

Screening support for trans and non-binary people

Public Health Wales has information for people who are transgender or non-binary. It can help people understand which screening tests they can have and when, and help them decide whether to take part.

Easy Read leaflets and videos are available for:
