Register with us as a New Patient
Our Computer systems will be changed between 28/1/26 β 5/2/26
This will cause short-term disruptions to some of our services but will bring much long-term benefits for patient care.
Please note:
- There will be a temporary loss of service on Wednesday 28th January, from 12pm.
New Patient Registrations
- There will be temporary limitations on our registration process during 28th January 2026 - 5th February 2026.
- If you are a new patient, we will accept applications but may need to pause processing your registration while our systems change over. We therefore recommend arranging any medication due in November with your previous practice, where possible.
- If you need to see a doctor urgently, we may register you as a temporary patient and complete your full registration at a later date. Please note that this means we will not have access to your full medical records at that time.
Our patient registration policy does not discriminate on the grounds of race, gender, social class, age, religion, sexual orientation or appearance, disability or medical condition.

Temporary Services
If you are ill while away from home, or if you are not registered with a GP but need to see one, you can receive emergency treatment from a local GP practice for up to 14 days. After 14 days, you will need to register as a temporary or permanent patient.
You can be registered as a temporary patient for up to three months. This allows you to remain registered with your permanent GP while receiving care locally. After three months, you will need to re-register as a temporary patient or register permanently with that practice.
To register as a temporary patient, contact the practice you wish to use. Practices do not have to accept temporary patients, but they must offer emergency treatment. You cannot register as a temporary patient at a practice in the area where you are already registered.
